Did you know Garth Brooks delivered the first-ever encore performance in Grand Ole Opry history?

On August 25, 2018, Garth Brooks performed at the Grand Ole Opry on his second sold-out night. After the show had ended, the sell-out fans of more than 4400 stayed in the famous venue, cheering for more.

Hearing the encore from backstage, Brooks and his band returned to close the night with some of his favorites. He ended the show with “That Summer,” a cover of George Strait’s “The Fireman,” and “The Dance.” He shouted to the audience, “Thank you for one of the coolest freaking nights of my life!”
