- Metallica will reportedly be added as co-headliner to L.A. rock station KROQ’s annual Weenie Roast, being held May 17th in Irvine, California.
- According to an executive producer’s unearthed memo, Mick Jagger was interested in playing the lead role in A Clockwork Orange, a part that eventually went to Malcolm McDowell. The Beatles had also “shown an interest” in scoring the Stanley Kubrick film.
